headlines

There was a headline in the Chicago SunTimes yesterday about how a "Baby Saved a Life". The story turned out to be boring, something about a blood transfusion from the umbilical cord and who the hell cares. But I was really hoping it was going to be about how the baby rescued someone from drowning, or used kung fu to fight off an intruder.

Those things never happen.

A VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE, INDEED.

Yeah. Posting isn't likely to happen anytime soon, this website's mostly dead. But there's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead.

Those things never happen.

Just like your posting.

Hee hee!

But still...

Throw yourself in front of a hail of gunfire, and you've saved someone for a day.

Offer yourself for stem-cell research, and you've saved someone for a lifetime.

That would be better.

How about if the baby had thrown itself in front of someone in a hail of gunfire to protect them? That would have been pretty heroic too.
